When I started studying at NSCAD in 1976 that harbour you depict back then was still happening I can recall the cat sized wharf rats crawling around the old government wharf behind the Fisheries Research building before the MMA was built and the smell of Kieths beer vomit and open sewers on Water Street. It was a golden era. The Ocean Beverage Room, the Hollis Street Tavern, the Longshormen's Hall and the very polite prostitutes working the backyard of Government House. I see all this stuff in yur grainy B&W pix.
