A Global Security conference, scheduled for Halifax this weekend will have HMCS
St.John's as a backdrop. This morning, tugs moved the ship to pier 21, in a cold move (the ship's main engines were not fired up). The content of the conference will likely be overshadowed by the absence of General Petraeus, who resigned as head of the CIA in disgrace after a distinguished military career.
