Bulgarian owned ships are in Halifax these days - we used to see their bulk carriers loading grain and they once operated a fleet of fishing trawlers that called here. In those days the ships were all operated by state owned companies.

Hagen is owned by the private company Ahilleos Maritime-Varna LLC.
Hagen is a geared bulker of 11,927 gross tons and 16,800 deadweight, it was built in 2009 by Linhai Shipyard in Changzhou, China and is equipped with three cranes to work cargo.
The ship is en route from Houston for Baie-Comeau, QC.
