With just over a week left in the cruise season, today, October 25 was a banner day with four ships on port. Weather was cool, overcast and windy, but the rain held off so passengers were not unduly inconvenienced.
Jewel of the Seas tied up (mostly) at Pier 20, with its bow extending well beyond pier 19 and lines out to the Tall Ships Quay bollard. The tug Dominion Rumbler took the head lines to the bollard.
It was then joined by the Norwegian Breakaway at Pier 22, bows south.
Both ships have been regular callers this year, and detailed here before.
For its first and only visit this year, it was Hanseatic Inspiration (see yesterday's post) at Pier 23.
The tug Eagle Fury was called in to handle a sectional scow to pick up refuse. It got assistance from the motorboat / tug Mighty Edge. (Dominion Diving may have handled barge duty at the other ships too.)
At Pier 24 (foreground of the photo above) the landing stage was re-established after being moved ashore in the past weeks, to handle tenders from the Seabourn Quest in number one anchorage. One of its tenders is alongside in the photo.
There was more activity on the harbour today, but that will be covered in a later post.
