1. Atlantic Jupiter arrives at number one anchorage in advance of some high winds and rain.
A decidedly shabby looking Atlantic Jupiter arrived this morning for CFIA inspection. The chemical and product tanker was built in 2009 by Hyundai Mipo in Ulsan, South Korea, where quality paint was obviously not on the builder's agenda. A repainting by the crew was started in some warmer clime but was suspended before they got to the hard parts.
Operated by MTM Ship Management of Singapore, the ship measures 23,342 gross tons and 36,677 deadweight tonnes. It is bound from New Orleans to Come-by-Chance, NL.
