With its holds now fitted to carry fibre optic sub-sea cable, the US flag cargo ship
Ocean Charger sailed this morning for Newington, NH to load at the Simplex cable factory. The largest factory of its kind in the world, and part of Tyco, the copmany has a long history in the development and production of specialized cables, starting (remarkably) with bird cage wire and flyscreen.

Ocean Charger sailed with its starboard anchor still stowed in a peculiar fashion - surely someone other than I noticed?
The ship's asymmetric superstructure looks quite different from port to starboard, comparing to its arrival on May 11.
