Western Regent, 2014-05-14 shifts berths.
The fleet of seismic ships that gathered in Halifax over the last few weeks sailed last evening and last night. The ship were in port to be fitted out with equipment, such as inflated fenders to assist in refueling and resupplying at sea, so that they can carry on their exploration work for BP uninterrupted..
The fleet consisted of the seismic ships Geco Diamond, Ocean Odyssey, Western Neptune, Western Pride, Western Patriot, Western Regent, suppliers Mainport Pride and Scotian Sea and picket/tug Atlantic Fir. The picket /tug Beverly M 1 remained in port this morning.
Most sailed at dusk or after dark, and under gloomy skies.
