New ship - Lydden

The autocarrier Lydden arrived this morning, its first call in Halifax,.The sip was delivered by builders Shin Kurushima, Onishi Japan in late March of this year, so is virtually brand new.

The ship is operated by Zodiac Maritime Ltd, one of  fifteen PCTCs in its fleet. Lydden is a 72,684 grt, 18,168 dwt ship with a capacity of 7429 CEU.  Zodiac, based in London, has named some of its ships for car racing circuits in England, of which the hamlet of Lydden is one.
