Bulk Newport clean

The Bulk Newport is due to sail this evening with its newly cleaned hull (underwater) . The ship has been anchored in Bedford Basin since Friday evening, with the dive tender Lady Georgina nearby or alongside.

The hull is noticeably cleaner starting a few feet above the waterline compared to its appearance on Friday Remotely controlled machinery does some of this dreary work these days, however I noticed navy divers cleaning Sackville's hull by hand last week. (Fortunately they didn't poke any holes in the reportedly paper thin skin.)
