Atlantic Tern and Riverton - suppliers at work

The two suppliers for the Shell seismic campaign in the Shelburne Basin were both in port today. Riverton [see Tugfax] arrived yesterday and sailed again this evening and Atlantic Tern arrived this morning.

The work is 350 km south of Halifax and well out into the Atlantic shipping lanes, but they are obviously doing without a specific standby/chase boat at the moment if these two are in port.

In fact the work is so far out that when there was a medical emergency on the WG Cook on May 27 the nearest rescue helicopter was in Cape Cod. The USCG copter flew out the 200 miles and brought the patient back to Hyannis for hospitalization.
