First look at CCGS M.Charles

The latest Hero class patrol boat rolled out of Halifax Shipyard's module shop today for painting. Before that could take place, there was surface preparation to do, which involved pressure cleaning.
1. A worker blasts the after deck of M. Charles. In the background the ferry Holiday Island is in the Novadock for refit.

Meanwhile, workers tarped over the future CCGS A. LeBlanc to prevent any of the blasting compound or fresh paint from settling on the ship.
2. Work on the Barrington Street retaining wall has now been completed, and an excellent view is possible through the fence.
