HMCS Sackville returns to winter quarters

Canada's naval memorial, the former HMCS Sackville, has returned to her winter quarters at HMC Dockyard. On display during the summer adjacent to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, the decommissioned corvette draws many interested visitors.

Her last duty of the season is normally to participate in wreath laying ceremonies off Point Pleasant Park on November 11, Remembrance Day. She is moved by tugs for that event as she can no longer steam on her own.
In the photo above, taken October 12, she is lying at her summer berth.
